The Size Guide

Prints are offered in 3 different sizes: M, L & XL.

All sizes come standard with a 3cm white border. For the XL prints, you have the option to increase the border to 5cm depending on your needs.

The size of the print is based on the longest side as some prints, due to the nature of the photo, will have different aspect ratios to the standard 3:2. In each of the print sizes below, the overall dimensions have been provided based on the standard 3:2 crop.

It is important when choosing a size of print, that you choose a size that fits the area in which you are looking to hang it. Preferably, the prints should be wholly visible and anyone looking at the hanging print should be able to take it all in in one look. Therefore, hanging a large print in a narrow corridor will have less of an effect than hanging a small print (or many small prints in a row taking up the same overall space on the wall) as the viewer will not be able to step back far enough to take in the whole frame. For prints hanging above the sofa, for example, or in a larger room, it makes more sense to choose a larger size as the viewer will always be at a larger distance from the hanging print.

A good rule of thumb for understanding what size you need is: the viewing distance = twice the diagonal measurement. The further viewers will generally stand from the picture, the larger it should be.
