I was the first person to see her three cubs when they left the den in February 2021, unexpectedly and luckily spotting them as they came down off a hill in Olare Motorogi Conservancy in Kenya’s Masai Mara.
Subsequently, I have been even luckier to have been able to watch them all grow up, observing them over the course of a year following their youthful exuberance as they watched, learned, failed and eventually succeeded in bringing down their own prey shortly after this image was taken.
It is rare for cheetahs to manage to raise all their cubs to adulthood. And while we can never be certain she only had three to begin with, she was only ever seen with three and raised all of them successfully.
This image was taken in February 2022, and as of early 2023, all her cubs are alive and successful adults. Well done Nema.

In large formats or even viewed up close, Aluminum Dibond is known for its outstanding image quality. The finest details are reproduced realistically with precise contours and clear contrasts.
Each print is developed on the Fuji Crystal Professional Archive Maxima photo paper. The backing is 3 mm (1/8 in.) thick aluminium dibond - a composite material with three layers, Dibond ensures maximum stability but weighs very little.
Each mount comes standard with an aluminium rail rectangle around all edges for ease of hanging.
